This Bordeaux style blend is composed of 67% merlot, 26% cabernet sauvignon and 7% cabernet franc. Bright cherry, black currant, and spicy plum aromas build to complex berry spice and stone fruit flavors. A silky layered tannin finish weaves fruit and spice with subtle chocolate notes. 1000 cases produced. French Oak barrel aged.

2007 Merlot [Alexander Valley]
Harvested at 24 brix and fermented in open top. Hand punch downs after initial cold soaking of three full days to extract color and tannins. 100% Malo-lactic. Barrel aged in 10% new French oak from various cooperages. Remaining barrel aging in 20% American Oak and 70% French oak 2, 3 and 4 years old each.
2006 Pinot Noir [Russian River Valley]
A luscious pinot built like a classic Burgundy. A light ruby hue deepens with aromas of strawberry, redwood forest and cherry. Flavors of bright strawberry and green tea flow gracefully with subtle oak and vanilla. Bright flavor blends with layers of fruit and spice to form a long, crisp finish. 400 cases produced.
